Tell Congress: Investigate Trump’s $1.4 Billion Profit From the Presidency
Donald Trump didn’t just return to the White House — he turned it into an ATM.
In just one year back in office, Trump has reportedly made at least $1.4 billion tied directly to his presidency, according to the New York Times. Others put the number even higher. Crypto ventures, licensing deals, and Trump-branded businesses have all surged as his administration makes policy decisions that benefit his personal financial interests.
It’s corruption in plain sight, and a direct threat to democracy. Congress must act now.
Tell Congress: “Investigate Donald Trump’s $1.4 billion profit from the presidency and hold him accountable. The presidency is not for sale.”
The Constitution bars presidents from using their office to enrich themselves. But investigative reporting shows Trump refused to meaningfully divest from his businesses while weakening ethics safeguards meant to stop this exact abuse.
When U.S. policy shifted in favor of domestic special interests and foreign governments, crypto projects linked to Trump and his family exploded and foreign-linked investments flowed into Trump businesses.
If a sitting president can make $1.4 billion from holding power and face no consequences, corruption becomes the business model of the American government. The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee must launch immediate investigations, subpoena Trump’s financial records, and hold public hearings to expose the truth.
Congress has the power and the duty to act. Help us build the pressure we need to hold them — and Trump — accountable by sending your letter to Congress now.
