The Trump administration needs another $50 billion to fund its illegal, open-ended war with Iran. So far, Congress has balked at the price tag - which would be enough to extend enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies for a year, deliver the wildfire Aid California has been waiting on for more than a year, or numerous other actual priorities.

But despite the fact that the war has already killed more than 1,000 Iranians including more than 160 young girls at a school, and at least seven American soldiers, so far, Congressional leadership is wavering.

Politico reported late last week that Republicans might attach wildfire aid and tariff relief to the military spending package to try and force Democrats to support it. This is dirty politics for a dirty, illegal war.
