Tell Corewell Health East to Stop Stalling and Start Negotiating

After surviving an aggressive $1.7 million union-busting campaign, 10,000 nurses at Corewell Health East in Michigan voted overwhelmingly last year to join the Teamsters in one of the largest U.S. union elections in nearly 20 years.

Since June 2025, Corewell has been slow rolling negotiations. Now, Corewell is only offering one to two days at a time for negotiations with weeks in between bargaining sessions. This is not good faith negotiating — plain and simple — but it is a typical anti-union stall tactic.

Teamsters nurses will not succumb to Corewell’s obvious attempt to destroy their spirit. Nurses are demanding a fair contract in a timely manner that prioritizes nurse and patient safety issues above all else. Tell Corewell to stop stalling and negotiate a fair contract for nurses now.
