Tell DNR and Jefferson County Council, Stop the Last Crocker Timber Sale!

A look into Last Crocker

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is trying to log over 100 acres of legacy forest in Jefferson County within a sale called Last Crocker. Last Crocker (located a few miles south of Discovery Bay) has some of the last remaining mature forest in Jefferson county that has not been turned into a Ddouglas fir, mono crop plantation. In this sale you can find large 40+ inch in diameter Douglas fir and cedar trees dating back to the 1930s, and multiple wetlands and streams throughout. The diversity of this older forest includes fir, cedar and alder as well as understory plants like sword fern, devils club, elderberry and so much more. Help us protect this forest as an important cultural, recreational and environmental resource.

Please take 1 minute to send a pre-written email to DNR and Jefferson Board of County Commissioners urging them to include Last Crocker in a new conservation program.
