Tell Election Administrators: don't fall for Stephen Miller's voter ID trap

This summer, a right wing legal group America First Legal Foundation (AFL) submitted a petition to demand that the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) amend the federal voter registration form to require documentary proof of citizenship such as a passport or birth certificate.
If implemented, this would impose an illegal and unnecessary voter registration requirement that could disenfranchise millions of Americans.
AFL is a rogue legal think tank that was co-founded by Stephen Miller, Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff and Homeland Security Advisor, who is a key architect behind some of the MAGA movement’s most draconian immigration policies. The EAC is an independent, bipartisan commission with a mission to help election officials administer elections so that more Americans can participate in the voting process. Clearly, this petition is at odds with their mission.
The EAC is currently accepting comments on the AFL petition until October 20, 2025. Use this form to send a quick letter to EAC's senior counsel and we'll file all the comments in the official docket before the deadline.
