Tell Fiesta Farms to Stop Supporting Genocide!

We have been asking Dino and Tracey Virgona, owners of Fiesta Farms, to remove Israeli oranges and products from their shelves. These products support and perpetuate apartheid and genocide of the Palestinian people.

Why Fiesta Farms?

Fiesta Farms is an “independent” grocer. They can choose which products to carry on their shelves. In May, we talked to Dino and hand-delivered a letter to him. We discussed Israel’s horrific genocide and asked him to consider other options to replace the Israeli products on his shelves. He told us, let my customers decide.

So, on June 8th, members of West End Boycott 4 Palestine showed up outside Fiesta and spoke directly to customers. In one hour over 100 people signed our petition asking the Virgonas to remove Israeli products from the store shelves. We also shared an online petition locally. In a matter of days, over 600 people signed the petition.

Fiesta Farm’s Response? Silence.

Despite several attempts to follow up, we have had zero response from Fiesta Farms. When we first visited them, we could not imagine things getting any worse in Palestine. To our collective horror, it has. We have all seen the heartbreaking images from Gaza of tiny babies, children, entire families deliberately starved to death by Israel.

It’s hard to imagine that any grocer would feel good about selling products from the perpetrator of starvation, daily massacres, and destruction of all that is necessary to sustain human life. Yet, Israeli products are currently being sold at Fiesta Farms.

It can be done!

The Italian chain Co-op Alleanza 3.0 has removed every single Israeli product from its 350 stores across Italy saying it cannot “remain indifferent in the face of the violence underway in the Gaza Strip”. Supermarkets everywhere are refusing to sell Israeli products, including in the UK (2300+ stores), Japan, Belgium and Ireland. Tell Fiesta Farms to take stop profiting from this genocide. It is possible!
