Tell Albany to Tax the Rich to Protect Funding for CUNY, Public Schools, and Vital Services

New York’s 118 billionaires have added $77 billion to their personal wealth during the COVID crisis. The rich and ultra-rich in New York amassed their wealth in a state economy driven by working people. And now working people—majority Black and brown people—are risking their lives to maintain essential services and bearing the greatest burden from the crisis. More than 2 million jobs were lost in New York while the rich grew richer. New York cannot let their gain come at the expense of CUNY, of public schools, of the working people of our state.
