Tell Governor Newsom to Pardon Laura

Laura Hernandez contributes to our communities with a passion that is unparalleled. She works tirelessly to support Freedom For Immigrants (FFI) and Orange County Rapid Response Network (OCRRN) families and share with them the skills and knowledge to fight their cases. Laura also advocates for policies that will impact the lives of thousands of BIPOC community members caught in the immigration/criminal legal systems. As a formerly incarcerated, immigrant woman of color, Laura is deeply passionate about racial justice.

In the three years since Laura has been released from incarceration, she was instrumental in doubling the size of the OCRRN and has been named the Executive Director of FFI. She participates in and often leads collaborative spaces such as the Dignity Not Detention coalition, the Resisting Surveillance Network and Level Up, among others. She has also advocated for the VISION Act, the Home Act, and an end to all ICE Transfers in Orange County!

Due to her immigration status, Laura is in danger of being deported to a country that is not hers. Despite all the good Laura does in her community, we may lose her. We cannot let this happen!
