Tell IIPD: STAND UP FOR ILLINOIS WORKERS!

International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 has been on strike for almost 100 days to defend their rights against QSL America--which is currently the subject of federal investigation for seven charges alleging violations of federal labor law. Workers at QSL America, Inc. sites report unsafe machinery, inadequate training, excessive electronic surveillance, and a culture of intimidation that discourages raising safety concerns. Most concerning are recent reports and video evidence indicating that QSL America is importing out-of-state replacement workers during this strike.
Yet, the International Illinois Port District continues to subsidize QSL America's anti-worker conduct through public funding and partnerships that the Port has extended to QSL. Illinois taxpayers reasonably expect their investments to generate good-paying, local jobs—not to subsidize the displacement of Illinois workers with out-of-state temporary labor. Join us in urging the IIPD to stand up for Illinois workers' rights and terminate QSL America's lease with the port!
