Tell Island County Ecosystems Are Resources For Climate Resilience

In this era of climate consequences, it is imperative to a livable climate future that our ecosystems be treated as valuable natural resources and their preservation and restoration prioritized over extraction.

Our forests, lakes, rivers, streams, wetlands, shorelines, and regenerative agriculture community all contribute to our climate resilience now and in the future.

Right now, Island County is planning for our future through the Comprehensive Plan and is asking for public input on draft elements through July 14, 2025.

Ask Island County to designate our ecosystems as "ecosystem and climate resilience resources" under the Natural Resources element of the Comprehensive Plan and plan for their protection.
