Tell legislators: American families deserve quality childcare
Childcare should not be a partisan issue. Period. Ask nearly any working parent in America today and they'll tell you: Quality, affordable childcare is hard to find—and it's getting even harder. In 2022, more than 58% of American families planned to spend more than $10,000 on child care annually – which is more than the average annual cost of in-state college tuition.
But even as families struggle to stay afloat and millions of parents—especially moms—have been forced out of the labor force entirely, elected leaders in Congress have done far too little to solve our country’s childcare crisis.
It's time for that to change. This week, Representatives Ro Khanna (D) and Nancy Mace (R) announced a brand new Congressional Bipartisan Affordable Childcare Caucus that is committed to finding common ground for all moms.
But they can’t do it alone. We need more policymakers crossing the aisle for childcare. Send a message to your Member of Congress now, asking them to join the #CaucusforChildcare. It’s time to deliver real solutions for American families.
