Tell Lupe Votes and Michelle Vallejo to divest from Israeli lobbyists!

Michelle Vallejo doesn't need Israeli funding to run her campaign in our district. There is a growing culture of pro-Palestinian sentiment and solidarity that runs counter to the fact that she is taking over over $45k from JStreet Super PAC this cycle, and was recently endorsed by Democratic Majority for Israel. Taking all this money and support from a foreign government lobbyists is suspicious and has prevented Michelle Vallejo from publicly taking a stance on the current ongoing devastation in the Gaza Strip, despite significant pressure from constituents.

The illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel has become so brazen in the past 7 months, broadcasting war crime after war crime, that to hear a public official (Monica De La Cruz) unabashedly proclaim “unwavering” support for “Israel to defend itself” – words that once dissected for the propaganda that it is, amounts to supporting a genocide and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian people, which to say the least, is repugnant of said politician, and mortifying for constituents.. The foreign influence is obvious here, with AIPAC pushing Congress to disregard the International Criminal Court and its recent announcement of arrest warrants for Netanyahu and it is a dangerous one. At least 171 journalists have been killed, all universities have been destroyed, and almost all hospitals have been destroyed. "Safe zones" keep getting invaded, and all of this is what Michelle is supporting by taking JStreet money and accepting a DMfI endorsement. She needs to separate herself from Monica De La Cruz on this issue.

Tell Michelle to drop the foreign money and be a candidate that responds to the district, what constituents are asking and demanding of her. We want a new voice to represent us, and the RGV is staunchly coming out as anti-imperialist, anti-war, and anti-militarization. Michelle, why run for Congress if not to represent the people? Divest and distance yourself from Zionist Democrats! We will not go away!

We also ask that Michelle champion immigrant justice as she should be doing! The issue is not even listed on her pamphlets. We need bold voices in Congress, not moderate ones!
