The Nebraska Legislature is debating LB 939, a bill that would threaten funding for
schools, health care, and services Nebraskans need so that non-Nebraskans and
wealthy people and corporations could get a large, unnecessary tax cut.

Instead of giving millions of dollars in tax breaks to those who need it least, the state
should instead make investments in things that help everyday Nebraskans -- like
education, health care and affordable housing. Unlike tax cuts for the wealthy, these
measures actually support families and communities and help our economy thrive.
