Tell our elected officials Rhode Island needs the Nursing Home Staffing & Quality Care Act!

There is a staffing crisis in Rhode Island nursing homes. Residents aren't getting the quality of care they deserve, and workers are burning out from being overworked. Senate Whip Maryellen Goodwin, and Representative Scott A. Slater, have introduced the Nursing Home Staffing & Quality Care Act (HB7624, SB2519). We need our legislators to pass this bill to set a minimum staffing standard of 4.1 hours of care per resident, per day, raise wages for caregivers, and provide funds needed for training opportunities for caregivers so we can end this crisis.
