Tell our Lawmakers: We Demand Strong Regulations for EMR in Camden!
The catastrophic fire at EMR in Camden on February 21 put the public health of Camden City residents in danger and spread noxious air pollution throughout Camden County.
For far too long, Camden residents have borne the consequences of weak oversight and corporate negligence in the scrap metal industry. We cannot allow another preventable disaster to endanger lives, pollute our air and water, and damage our local environment. We call on our elected officials, environmental agencies, and regulatory bodies to take immediate action.
Please take a moment to send a message to lawmakers with important tangible actions they can take to hold EMR responsible and to ensure that another disaster of this magnitude never happens again.
Thank you for taking a stand for environmental justice in Camden and in New Jersey!
