Tell PPGOH Leadership: Commit to 25% Salary Reductions to Save More Jobs
On Friday, August 1, PPGOH Workers United was notified of management’s plan to implement layoffs. Government cuts to Medicaid and Title X have been devastating to PPGOH and PPGOHWU understands many hard decisions have to be made in light of these cuts. Our union has been negotiating with PPGOH leadership to ensure that this process is fair and to minimize the impact that this has on our bargaining unit members.
PPGOH leadership knew the organization’s bottom line would be impacted by the Trump Administration’s funding cuts months ago, but did not reach out to the union to notify us and start negotiating layoffs until the beginning of August. They have now manufactured an 11th-hour crisis and insist this must be done now, at Union members’ expense.
We don’t believe in advocating for salary cuts when it is unnecessary. However, it has been made expressly clear in our negotiations that cutting a critical number of care-providing staff is management’s only solution to its budget crisis, and we don’t believe in cutting front-facing roles before all other options have been exhausted.
As of 8/18/2025, PPGOH management verified that there are no plans for any of the Senior Leadership Team to take pay cuts to try to save PPGOH jobs. If you would rather see as many union jobs saved as possible, send our leadership team a letter.
