Justice for the People: Tell the Queens District Attorney to Drop the Charges Against Allen Porter

For more than three decades, Allen Porter lived behind bars. Recently, a court vacated his conviction after finding that important evidence favorable to the defense had not been disclosed before trial.

Findings like these leave no doubt that Allen Porter did not receive a fair trial. When constitutional violations are identified, justice requires the courage to correct mistakes.

Despite the court’s decision, the Queens District Attorney’s Office is continuing to appeal.
