Tell Raleigh City Council: Give Us 32 Months Before Data Centers Move Forward

North Carolina is seeing rapid growth in data-center development, but Raleigh still needs comprehensive standards addressing their potential impacts on water, electricity, utility costs, noise, pollution, land use, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Raleigh is considering a six-month moratorium. We're asking City Council to go further and adopt a 32-month moratorium — giving the City enough time to study the impacts, hear from residents and experts, develop strong regulations, and hold public hearings before additional data-center development moves forward.

The proposed 32-month framework isn't simply a pause. It establishes a process for research, regulation development, community workshops, Council review, and final public hearings.

Raleigh has an opportunity to get this right before making decisions that could affect our communities for decades.

Send a letter directly to your Raleigh City Council members and ask them to support a 32-month data-center moratorium
