Tell RISD leadership: when it comes to DEI, you need to practice what you preach.

The Rhode Island School of Design's leadership has publicly committed itself to the principals of DEI to better enrich and empower the collegiate community. In the announcement that RISD will no longer participate in U.S. News and World Report's university and college rankings, the President’s Office declared, “Our institutional commitment to embodying the principles of social equity and inclusion also means that, where possible, we eschew participation in systems that strongly rely on exclusion and inequity.”

If that's the case, why is RISD refusing to pay its workers wages and benefits that are comparable to what other college and university staff and Rhode Island receive?

DEI means inclusion for EVERYONE - especially the workers on campus. Send President Crystal Williams and her cabinet members a letter to let them know that if they're committed to DEI, they can start in house.
