Tell Ronayne to Support the W. 25th Bus Lanes

This week, County Executive Chris Ronayne held a closed-door meeting with West 25th Street business owners and voiced his opposition to RTA's proposed West 25th Street bus lanes. While wealthy business owners continue to wield their power and access to undermine important public transit improvements, we must respond with the unified voice of transit riders who want streets that serve all modes of travel.

Every hour, 24 buses travel on West 25th Street from Detroit Road to Lorain Avenue. Thousands of bus riders travel along West 25th Street along this stretch every day. They deserve to get where they need to go quickly and reliably, and one key way to ensure that is to give their bus a dedicated lane.

GCRTA is planning a bus rapid transit (BRT) route on West 25th Street from Detroit to past the Zoo. The way the the street works now is leading to transit delays and slow-moving buses -- we need bus lanes between Detroit & Lorain Avenue to make this a true BRT route.

We need you to make it known the riding public demand bus lanes on West 25th Street in the market and entertainment district!
