Scott Pruitt is now the head of the EPA, but during his confirmation hearing he promised to make C-8 water testing a priority.

C-8 contamination ruins health, environments, and economies. C-8 is linked to kidney cancer, testicular cancer, ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and high cholesterol, and the EPA says 0.07 parts per billion is the safe limit for C-8 contamination.  Despite what we know about the dangers of C-8, high, unsafe C-8 contamination levels have been found in communities across the country including in New York, New Hampshire, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Vermont.
