We are heartbroken and grieving the deaths of the over 27,000 Palestinian men, women and children killed by Israel in the past four months. At this moment, the Senate is preparing to vote on yet another $14 billion in military funding and weapons to the Israeli government. If this package of weapons and bombs passes the Senate, it will move to the House.

As California residents of many different faiths, backgrounds, and homelands, we call on Senators Padilla and Butler to take the three following actions:

• 1. Issue a public statement calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
• 2. Vote against any new weapons or military funding to Israel
• 3. Support the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
