Tell Senate to vote NO on S. 558: Antisemitism Awareness Act

A dangerously misleading bill, the Antisemitism Awareness Act (AAA), was scheduled for a vote in the Senate HELP committee on April 30th. The vote, however, was delayed due to bipartisan pushback. Despite its name, this bill has nothing to do with protecting Jewish students and fighting antisemitism — and everything to do with silencing criticism of Israel and infringing on our First Amendment Rights.

Tell the Senate to vote NO on the S.558, the Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2025.

The bill would require the Department of Education to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism when enforcing anti-discrimination laws in schools and universities. IHRA’s definition goes beyond protecting Jewish students from discrimination—it also classifies many forms of criticism of Israel as antisemitic. If passed, this could mean that any form of criticism of Israel or pro-Palestine activism will be considered antisemitic and punished under federal law.

This bill will not fight bigotry, but instead fuel it, criminalizing any act that dares to challenge Trump, American foreign policy, and Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.

Urge Congress to reject S. 558 and prioritize addressing the real and rising threats of anti-Palestinian, anti-Muslim, and antisemitic discrimination — without trampling on our First Amendment rights.

Take action NOW.
