Victims of abuse and human trafficking need care, healing, and support -- not lengthy prison sentences. The Justice for Survivors Act aka SB 91, authored by Senator Beth Mizell, would prevent the criminalization of survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence who acted out of desperation and fear, but whose actions didn't fit the very narrow constraints of our current self defense and compulsion laws.

Our legislators must stand with crime survivors and vote YES when they hear this bill and the stories of survivors in Jud C Committee.
