Tell the PSC: No fracked gas pipeline or CNG expansion on Long Island OR Staten Island

AFTER THE 2020 VICTORY DEFEATING THE WILLIAMS PIPELINE, NATIONAL GRID JUST WON’T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER.

Background:

Despite New Yorkers submitting thousands of public comments against fracked gas expansion, National Grid is currently seeking approval to raise our monthly bills in order to invest hundreds of millions of dollars every year expanding and extending the life of their fracked gas distribution system.

Part of their expansion plan is to build new pipelines through Staten Island and Long Island and expand Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities, which means more CNG “bomb trucks” going through Long Island and Staten Island communities.

National Grid has just restarted confidential settlement negotiations in the rate case that will lock out the public, so it’s crucial that we send thousands of comments to the Public Service Commission (PSC) and to Governor Cuomo demanding they reject National Grid’s proposal for new pipelines and CNG on Staten Island and Long Island.
