Tell the Redlands School Board to Vote NO on These Harmful Budget & Layoff Policies!
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
This Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM, the Redlands Unified School District (RUSD) Board of Education will consider two major resolutions that would significantly impact our schools, students, and valued staff members.
It is important to note that the budget deficit took place under board president Michele Rendler's term and after board members Jeannette Wilson and Candy Olson took their seats.
These proposals would authorize deep cuts and layoffs, both in certificated (teachers, counselors, nurses, librarians, specialists) and classified (paraprofessionals, support staff, health care technicians, family engagement, library aides) positions starting in the 2026–27 school year.
We strongly encourage the Board to vote NO on these resolutions and invite you to tell them why.
Please send them an email encouraging them to find other ways to offset the budget deficit instead of these devastating cuts. The unions are asking for more cuts to central office instead of the people who are with your children everyday, providing an education.
