Tell the Senate to protect Uyghur human rights by passing the Uyghur Policy Act.

The Uyghur Policy Act:

Recognizes Uyghurs’ distinct religious and cultural identity

Affirms the U.S. government’s determination of China’s treatment of the Uyghurs as genocide and crimes against humanity

    • Coordinate U.S. policies and diplomacy to protect Uyghur human rights.

    • Collaborate with international partners, including Organisation of Islamic Cooperation members, to advocate for Uyghur human rights.

    • Advocate for the release of arbitrarily detained Uyghurs.

    • Develop a strategy to pressure China to close the so-called “reeducation” camps and allow independent investigation in the Uyghur Region.

    • Train diplomats in the Uyghur language and include Uyghur speakers at China posts.

    • Urge action at the UN, including appointing a special rapporteur on Uyghur human rights.
