Youngstown community - it's time to stand up for teachers!

The Youngstown Education Association represents more than 500 teachers in the Youngstown school district, from kindergarten to graduation, and they need your help this summer!

As of August 23rd, the teachers of Youngstown are ON STRIKE, because the Superintendent & Youngstown School Board are unwilling to compromise on key issues that impact teacher’s working conditions and ultimately student’s learning conditions.

On top of that: on the first day of the strike,a member of the school administration hit a teacher with his car outside Volney Rodgers School. That is morally reprehensible and must be completely condemned,

We've got to stand up for teachers - and students - and tell them it's time to negotiate fairly!

These teachers want to get back into the classroom to teach our wonderful young people of Youngstown. They can't go back without a contract -- and they need you to help them get it.

We need every concerned community member to email or call the school board and say "I'm a Youngstown voter and I want you to sit down at the table with YEA and give them a fair contract - our teachers deserve a raise and better working conditions in 2023." It's that simple!
