Donald Trump started his second term as President by attacking our most vulnerable communities via executive orders and actions. One of the most heavily targeted groups singled out by these executive orders has been transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive people - especially students, athletes, and young people.

These orders have threatened hospital’s funding in order to limit and end gender-affirming care services, threatened schools and teachers that respect students’ pronouns and teach about LGBTQ people’s contributions in history, narrowly defined sex and gender causing administrative chaos for passport renewals and other government records and services, and attempted to disappear gender expansive folks from public life by banning trans people from bathrooms and sports. These orders and the narratives justifying them have caused immense harm across the country and inspired state and local governments to write and pass regressive legislation to further target, harm, and infringe upon transgender and gender expansive people’s rights, safety, and dignity.

We are contacting the White House directly to demand that Donald Trump hear our voices, respect our communities, and rescind these shameful, toxic, threatening, and often unconstitutional executive orders targeting transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive people. We will not stop writing, posting, calling, emailing, and taking to the streets to protest for our LGBTQ communities, especially transgender and non-binary folks, until these orders have been rescinded. We demand that our government respect, protect, and include ALL people instead of discriminating based on sex and gender identity.
