Tell WV legislators: Support our state's food banks
Today, on Hunger Free West Virginia Day, we hope you will join our goal to ensure all West Virginians have access to affordable and nutritious food by asking West Virginian legislators to support the state’s two food banks.
Last year, for the first time in our state’s history, the State Legislature included $1,000,000 in its budget to support the state’s two food banks. Mountaineer Food Bank and Facing Hunger Food Bank serve as part of our state’s critical infrastructure, which has been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
To better prepare our state to respond to future crises and continue to work toward a Hunger Free West Virginia we hope our legislators will once again step up to help our food banks that help so many West Virginians.
