Tell your Alabama State Senator to protect your freedom of speech and vote NO on HB 445

HB 445 expands the definition of a "riot" to include almost any group of people doing almost anything almost anywhere. It does not distinguish between peaceful protests and violence. It could apply to a tailgate. It could apply to a birthday party. It could apply to almost anything. It would allow the authorities to arrest any speech they found offensive in any public space. It is an unconstitutional bill that is trying to intimidate protestors and limit free speech in the state of Alabama. The bill is currently under consideration in the Alabama Senate and we need everyone to tell their lawmakers to vote NO on this bill and protect freedom of speech and freedom of assembly in Alabama.
