Tell Your Commissioner "STOP THE CUTS: Save The First Bus!"
Miami-Dade's proposed budget cuts the first bus of the day on 47 routes. Those trips carry hospital staff, hotel and airport workers, teachers, and construction crews to work before sunrise. These almost 7,000 weekly riders don't have another way to get there. Morning service is also the cheapest service on the table at about $6.30 per rider, under the $8 national benchmark, and restoring it keeps buses running in all 13 commission districts. Commissioners vote September 3. Tell yours to restore $12.4 million and save the first bus.
