Tell your Congressperson to SAVE Medicaid and Obamacare!

This graphic has text that reads: "Florida Policy Institute. Obamacare and Medicaid are in trouble. Contact your Congressperson."

Miami Dade residents RELY on Medicaid, CHIP, and Obamacare/Marketplace for essential healthcare. If you agree, send a letter to your Member of Congress --->

On Thursday, February 13, Congressional House Budget Committee Republicans advanced their budget resolution, a blueprint for major spending cuts and even larger tax cuts for the wealthiest 1 percent of the population. The resolution instructs other committees to find at least $1.5 trillion in spending cuts, which will largely target social programs like Medicaid, CHIP and Obamacare/Marketplace tax credits.

Medicaid, CHIP, and insurance tax credits make Florida’s economy work. They ensure Miami’s kids can see a doctor. They cover the treatment of chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. They help pay for nursing homes and provide essential care to people with disabilities. They allow both people with disabilities and older folks to stay in their homes, keeping them out of institutions.

Take a couple minutes to send a letter to your Congressperson; you can edit the letter with your own reason why you support preserving these critical health programs.

Thank you for standing up for Floridians’ healthcare!
