Families across Pennsylvania are already making impossible choices to make rent, buy groceries, and pay utility bills. Programs like Medicaid, Pennie, and SNAP helped lighten the load, but now even those lifelines are under threat.

In Washington DC, billionaires pushed through a federal budget that cut taxes for the wealthy and paid for it by cutting programs that help kids and families. Those cuts will hit Pennsylvania hard unless state leaders step in.

Now there’s a $5 billion hole in the state budget, and if the governor and legislature don’t bring in more money, essentials like healthcare and SNAP food assistance will be gutted—tightening the squeeze on working people who are already struggling to afford a decent life.

There’s a better way. Our governor and legislators can protect the things working people rely on by raising revenue from those who can most afford it: wealthy corporations and billionaires.

The Tax Billionaires, Fund PA package, would close the budget gap created by federal cuts and raise nearly $7 billion in revenue this year alone by:
