Tell your members of Congress: Co-sponsor the Support UNFPA Funding Act

For more than 50 years, UNFPA has worked tirelessly to ensure new mothers and newborns survive childbirth, to help women plan if and when to have children, and to prevent and protect women and girls from facing violence in all its forms – including harmful practices like child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM).

These programs for women and girls are cost effective — and they work. Research shows that every $1 invested in women’s health and family planning returns $8 in economic benefits.

Despite this, the U.S. government has terminated all UNFPA grants and defunded this lifesaving care for millions of families around the world.

But the Support UNFPA Funding Act has been introduced in the U.S. House and Senate, and it would protect critical funding for pregnant mothers, babies, women, and girls around the world.

Will you send your members of Congress a message asking them to co-sponsor the Support UNFPA Funding Act today?

You will be asked to send separate letters to each of your senators and representative. We have prewritten letters for your convenience, but feel free to add your personal thoughts and experiences. Thank you for raising your voice for women and girls!
