The EPA protects human health and the environment by ensuring clean air, water, and land for all. Budget and staff cuts would undermine these vital protections and threaten the health of every American.

Furthermore, the funding of the EPA, like all federal agencies, lies in authorities granted to Congress. Congress needs to oppose any cuts to critical agencies like the EPA, and communicate that position to agency heads, since they have the power to refuse to implement any proposed RIFs.
