The VA delivers vital healthcare and benefits to those who have served our nation in uniform — any reduction in personnel threatens the quality and availability of care for our veterans who have sacrificed for our country. Our veterans deserve nothing less than our full support and commitment to their wellbeing.

Furthermore, the funding of the VA, like all federal agencies, lies in authorities granted to Congress. Congress needs to oppose any cuts to critical agencies like the VA, and communicate that position to agency heads, since they have the power to refuse to implement any proposed RIFs.

It's our solemn duty to protect these essential healthcare services for current and future generations who put their lives on the line for our freedom.
