Terminate Racist Dr. Jason Weiden from Emory and Grady

An organization called STOP ARAB HATE has documented and publicly identified individuals who have demonstrated alarming patterns of anti-Muslim, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Arab rhetoric and behavior. Among them is Dr. Jason Weiden, a physician affiliated with Emory School of Medicine, who has recently made deeply troubling public statements via his social media platforms.

According to the organization, Dr. Weiden has used his social media to incite hatred and violence against Palestinians. His posts have included celebrating the destruction of refugee tents and implying support for the killing of civilians in Gaza. These actions are not only morally reprehensible but raise serious ethical and professional concerns regarding his role as a healthcare provider. The specific examples of his conduct can be reviewed here: https://x.com/StopArabHate/status/1910065295093346759.

Given the gravity of these statements—which advocate violence, genocide, and dehumanization—it is unacceptable for Dr. Weiden to remain in a position of medical authority. He currently practices at Emory Healthcare and Grady Hospital, both of which serve diverse patient populations, including Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian individuals. Allowing someone with publicly expressed hostility toward these communities to provide medical care is a direct threat to patient safety, trust, and dignity.

We call on the leadership of Emory School of Medicine, Emory Healthcare, and the Department of Radiology to take immediate and decisive action. For the safety and well-being of all patients—particularly those from targeted communities—Dr. Jason Weiden must be terminated from his roles.

Please send a formal letter or email to the following administrators to demand accountability and protect the integrity of medical care at Emory and Grady.
