Federal COVID Grant Termination - Letter to Congress
The sudden termination of federal COVID grant funding, now ending six months earlier than expected, puts access to addiction and mental health services at risk across New York State. Service providers had planned on these final months of funding to sustain life-saving programs, especially in the face of rising demand and ongoing workforce shortages.
We are calling on members of Congress to support us in advocating for the halt of further cuts to federal grants and to protect federal Medicaid funding that supports individuals and families affected by addiction and mental health conditions.
By sending a letter, you are urging members of Congress to take immediate action to protect these critical services and support vulnerable New Yorkers.
