Thank Sara Jacobs For Supporting Mahmoud Khalil
On March 8, DHS agents abducted Mahmoud Khalil, a U.S. permanent resident and student activist for Palestinian rights, from his New York apartment. Mahmoud was targeted for his political speech and activism in support of Palestinian freedom and for an end to the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
On the morning of March 14th, 103 Democratic members of the House of Representatives, led by Ranking Members Pramila Jayapal, Jamie Raskin, and Mary Gay Scanlon, sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem demanding answers on the arrest and detainment of Mahmoud Khalil. Sara Jacobs was a cosigner of this letter and also made a statement in support of Mahmoud on X (formerly Twitter).
With so few pro-Palestinian politicians in San Diego, we must show our support and encouragement for Representative Jacobs standing up for immigrant rights, the First Amendment, and antizionist voices. Please fill out the form to send a prewritten thank you letter to Representative Jacobs.
