Thank Governor Moore and U.S. Senators Van Hollen & Alsobrooks for their leadership!

Maryland was hit hard by the shutdown. Our federal workers had to endure the longest shutdown in history, going without pay for weeks, with nothing but uncertainty ahead. 680,000 Marylanders, including 270,000 children rely on SNAP to eat. These families lost benefits while Trump refused (despite multiple court orders) to release SNAP benefits.

Supporting our federal workforce, protecting healthcare for millions of Americans, and keeping families fed is essential, and that’s why we're proud of our Maryland leaders who stood up to protect us, and to fight for the most vulnerable. When 90+ organizations called on Governor Wes Moore to fund SNAP benefits, he did it. When the U.S. Senate needed strong leaders to speak up for what is fair, and just and to take tough votes, Senators Van Hollen and Alsobrooks led the way.

Join us in thanking Governor Moore, Senator Van Hollen, and Senator Alsobrooks for showing courage and leadership throughout the shutdown.
