UConn Alumni: Demand UConn Divest and Decarbonize!

Support student demands towards climate justice!

University of Connecticut students are demanding that their school divests its endowment from fossil fuel companies and decarbonize its campus.

They are urging the administration and Board of Trustees to create and share comprehensive plans relating to each of those goals.

**We need UConn Alumni to take action!**

If you are a UConn alumni - you can support the coalition of climate activist students by using this form to send a letter to the University Administration, Board of Trustees and UConn Foundation stating that you will be withholding pledges to its Foundation until it shows us it is addressing climate change.

Your letter will be sent to the following UConn decision makers:

  • Jonathan Greenblatt, UConn Foundation Interim-President and CEO
  • Montique Cotton Kelly, UConn Foundation Senior VP for Stakeholder Engagement and COO
  • Kate Gagnon, UConn Foundation Director of Alumni Relations, Diverse Alumni Communities Engagement
  • Patrick Walker, UConn Foundation Director of Alumni Relations, Regional Engagement
  • Shahid Farooqi, UConn Foundation Managing Director of Investments,
  • Radenka Maric, President of UConn
  • Michelle Williams, Chief of Staff to the UConn President
  • Rachel Rubin, Executive Secretary to the Board of Trustees for the UConn President
  • Dan Toscano, Chair of the UConn Board of Trustees

If you are NOT a UConn alumni, you can still support the cause by signing the students' petition, and sharing this message with any UConn alumni you might know.

CCAG is in 100% support of a Fossil Fuel Free UConn in their demands that the university live up to its ideals – and its responsibility to cease and desist contributing to the climate crisis. There is no time to lose.

Thank you for adding your voice and sending a letter today!
