Transport is what helps us live our lives — to get to work or school, to see friends, go shopping, or get to medical appointments. But many Disabled people are being shut out of society because the very support that’s meant to help — the Disabled Person’s Bus Pass and the Blue Badge — isn’t working.

It’s too hard to apply, the rules don’t make sense, and decisions can vary depending on where you live. Because of this, thousands of Disabled people are missing out on jobs, education, healthcare, and everyday life.

Over the past year, we’ve spoken to over 1,000 Disabled people and worked together to find solutions. We also spoke to local councils to understand what’s going wrong.

Now we need MPs to step up. We’re calling for:

• Proper funding to keep these schemes going

• Clear and fair rules no matter where you live

• Criteria based on the barriers we face, not just what benefits we get
