We are devastated to see Museum London and Unity Project accept funding from Scotiabank and McDonalds as sponsors of UPwithART. Uplifting the unhoused, displaced, and vulnerable of London cannot come at the expense of the unhoused, displaced, and vulnerable of Palestine. As active community members in the arts, we call upon Museum London and Unity project to put their values in practice, end their relationship with and divest from Scotiabank, McDonald’s, and others that profit from and are complicit in the Israeli genocide in Palestine. We demand a public statement from Museum London at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on May 8th 2024 to end their silence on the colonization taking place.
