Urge Members of Congress to Support for H.R. 7521 & S. 136 to End the Failed Embargo & Forced Starvation of Cuba

The U.S. embargo is starving Cuba. By blocking oil and food supplies, the current policy has shut down hospitals, halted public transportation, and caused severe food and medicine shortages. International humanitarian law prohibits the starvation of civilians as a method of warfare—yet that is exactly what is happening right now, 90 miles from our shore.

Rep. McGovern has introduced H.R. 7521, the United States-Cuba Trade Act, to repeal the 60-year-old embargo. A companion bill, S. 136, has been introduced in the Senate.

Take Action:
Tell our IL Congressional reps to co-sponsor and pass this bill now. We must choose diplomacy over suffering and treat Cuban people with dignity.
