Urge Senators and Members of Congress to Stop Warehousing Immigrants

We need you to take action NOW!

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are expanding their existing detention network beyond jails, prisons, and military bases to include large warehouse and industrial spaces for mass detention. This is part of the Trump administration’s plans to expand immigration detention capacity to more than 100,000 people at any given time. Conditions in ICE detention centers across the US are already deplorable and rapidly deteriorating, with a record 31 of deaths in ICE custody in 2025, and already 12 deaths so far in 2026.

Reports show that DHS and ICE are actively scouting, purchasing, and retrofitting approximately at least 23 warehouses nationwide for immigration detention. Starting as early as April these sites are expected to detain between 1,500- 10,000 people each. Normalizing the warehousing of human beings in industrial settings is unconscionable, reminiscent of some of the most shameful moments in our global history, and represents a dark turn in Trump’s cruel mass detention and deportation agenda.

Immigration detention as it exists today is already cruel, inhumane and unnecessary. Warehousing immigrants in large-scale industrial buildings will exacerbate the harms inherent to the ICE detention system.

Members of Congress can do something to stop this! Urge your members of Congress to use their power to say NO to warehouse detention!
