Please send this email to urge the City Council to adopt a Socially Responsible Investment Policy to divest from destruction and reinvest in our communities. We will likely see a policy brought to a City Council meeting in the coming weeks, and need your support. It is critical that the contents of the policy set actionable standards for divestment from corporations knowingly causing severe and widespread harm. We can reinvest these funds into projects that uplift Sacramentans and remain in line with the city’s need to meet its fiduciary responsibilities. Join us to call on the Council to adopt a socially responsible investment policy that aligns with the City’s 2040 General Plan and supports human rights, workers’ rights, and environmental justice.
