Urge the Hamilton County Commission to Make Their Meetings Time Accessible
Over the past few months, the Hamilton County Commission has recently engaged in 4 pm meeting time trial run, a change from their 9:30 am normal meeting time.
While the 4 pm meeting time did slightly increase public participation, the County Commission is likely to resume 9:30 AM meetings in March. 4 pm is still within working hours for a majority of normal, every day people who work a 8 am - 5 pm jobs.
If the County Commission truly values public engagement in their meetings, they need to move the meeting time outside of working 9 am - 5 pm working hours for the average Hamilton County Resident.
Join us, in calling for the County Commission to set a permanent meeting time, at 5:30 pm or later, when a majority of working people can attend the meetings. Your input matters, and a simple message to your commissioners could help make local government more responsive and representative.
