Urge the MA Senate to Invest in Educator Diversity!

Students of color are not seeing themselves represented in the classroom and as a Commonwealth, we must invest in the diversification of the teaching profession. Senator Chang Diaz and Senator Gomez, in an effort to accelerate the diversification of the Educator Pipeline and help the Department of Elementary Education reach its goal of 25% educator diversity by 2030 has filed amendments 435 and 445 to the Senate ARPA bill which would allocate $10 million towards existing diversity initiatives and educator preparation programs that serve historically underrepresented educators. This amendment would restore critical investments to educator diversification dollars secured in the final ARPA budget passed by MA House of Representatives

The time to invest in educator diversity is now, urge your State Senator to support Amendment 435 and 445!
