Interim administrators at Western Illinois University (WIU) will eliminate ALL nine campus librarians by May 2025. Students, faculty, professional library organizations, and higher education leaders across Illinois and the nation are speaking out against this ill-conceived plan that cuts critical student supports and callously eliminates jobs.
